What a home services business website is actually for.
Not design awards. The phone ringing. We reviewed 5 plumbers and home service trades listings across Washington on 2026-08-02 and the same four gaps repeat everywhere. Here is what we check, and the audit that checks yours is free.
The four checks
- 1
The emergency screen
A burst pipe search happens standing in water. Your number must be tappable on the first screen, before any scrolling, before any slideshow loads.
- 2
Service area, stated
Callers bail when they cannot tell if you cover their street. Name your cities plainly and the calls qualify themselves.
- 3
Licensed and bonded, visible
The words your customer was told to look for. If they are buried on an about page, to a stranger they do not exist.
- 4
Job photos over badges
A photo of a finished repipe with one plain sentence beats a wall of association logos.
The audit is free. Keep it either way.
Send your web address, or just your business name if you have no site. We write down exactly what a customer sees before deciding not to call, in plain words, free.
