What a restaurant website is actually for.

Not design awards. The phone ringing. We reviewed 1000 restaurants listings across Washington on 2026-08-02 and the same four gaps repeat everywhere. Here is what we check, and the audit that checks yours is free.

The four checks

  1. 1

    The menu is the site

Menu, hours, address, phone. On one screen, on a phone, without a PDF. Everything else is decoration.

  2. 2

    Tonight's answer

Are you open right now and can I get a table. If a visitor cannot answer both in five seconds, they are on the next tab.

  3. 3

    Photos of your food

Your actual plates, shot in your actual light. Stock food photography is detectable at a glance and reads as a chain.

  4. 4

    Third party tax

If the only working link is a delivery app, you pay commission on customers who were already yours. Your own site should take the order or the booking first.

The audit is free. Keep it either way.

Send your web address, or just your business name if you have no site. We write down exactly what a customer sees before deciding not to call, in plain words, free.
